Children's Ministry

At First Church we strive to have our kids understand what it means to be loved by God and how to to impact their world with His love.

A word from Pastor Josh

It is my honor to serve the people of First Church as well as the people of Amarillo. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment for our kids to interact with God and the stories of the Bible. We have a lot of fun learning about the love of God and how we can take the love into the world in which we live.

KIDS CHURCH

Just before the sermon, kids are dismissed for Kids Church, where our kids learn life-changing biblical truths on a level they will both understand and participate in. On the first Sunday of the month, grade school kids stay in the sanctuary for the sermon. They are provided an activity bag to help them interact with the sermon being preached.

Our preschool kids enjoy a snack and another lesson during our church time as well as a time of play to get to know and interact with other kids.

We offer an updated nursery for our young learners during these times.

SUNDAY NIGHTS

Sunday nights for our grade schoolers is built to be relational and interactive. Kids have been sitting all week, we feel its important for them to learn through play and interaction with each other.

Our preschoolers have a time of lesson and activity and free play as they are reminded that God loves them and has a purpose for them.

Nursery facilities are also available.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We believe that family time is important.  Not just for individual families, but our church family as well.  Almost on a monthly basis we offer some sort of family event.  These events include things like board game nights, hide and seek nights, Nerf nights, and other fun events that can bring us together as a family.
